A snippet from Galleryrifle or GRAW4

Well that was the last of the gallery rifle action weekends or GRAW for ease, those brave soles that came along to the weekend of 25th & 26th of October were treated to good weather on the Saturday it was even sunny for a time. The evening with are extra hour brought a meal at the Sergeant's Mess, which is now doing food, its also on camp so not to far to go after the Bisley fireworks display, the meal was kindly sorted by Jane Shields for those that went.
Unfortunately Sunday was not so good weather wise, showing us things to come no doubt. For these RO's that used the extra hour for not go to bed and sleeping it was an even longer day on the range!!
For this meeting as numbers are lower, everyone looking at the weather forecast no doubt, there was no prize giving all medals will be sent out by post. This gave those hardy few that stay for prizing a chance to go home early or to enjoy a drink in the L&M.
A few well dones are in order first Terry Fry (Terry's the one on the right, not shore who that other joker is!!!!)for coming overall first in T&P1 with 300 and 23X beating the top X class shooter Dave Hackett with only a measly 299.
A note of praise to Andy Jarman who's shooting in a blur of speed I might add. He shot 590 in small bore T&P2 only five points off a national record there!!
Dave Hackett making a come back on small bore multi-target with a score equalizing the national record of 120 and only the second person to ever clean this match.
Well done to Phil Cowling for a maximum score on the advancing target in LBR dog bites and all.
Last but not least the Derby challenge Jim Smith V Dave Holt, a pint on each match. As I was helping out on 1500, shooting Rugers side-by-side Jim smith he was the winner with 1463, Pint to Jim I think, underlever disaster strikes Dave shot his bolt! Out So a new one-piece firing pin for Dave I think, and another pint for Jim.
